Project Life Tuesday ~ 20 September

I’m sharing some pictures from Big Girl’s camera today – she’s been snapping away and I thought it would be fun to capture the world from her perspective for a change.

Project Life Tuesday ~ 13 September 11

Sorry the blog has been so quiet lately. The blog has been quiet but my life has not! Which is why I haven’t had a blog post – I’ve just been so busy!

But I am sharing my recent photos for Project Life Tuesday today. I haven’t taken many, but here are the ones from last week:

Project Life Tuesday ~ 23 August 11

Busy week last week – we are getting in the groove of our school routine and work has been quite busy as well. That has left little time (or brain power) for scrapbooking, photography, etc. Although, I did manage a pretty good scrapping session on Saturday. (You can see the fruits of my labors here.)

I already shared some of last week’s photos with you on some earlier blog posts – but here are a few shots I haven’t shared yet:

1. Waiting for the Imax movie at Fernbank.
2. Walking on the grounds at Fernbank.
3. Dinner at Papadeaux to celebrate my bonus.
4. Yummy, decadent dessert at Papadeaux.
5-8. Sunday afternoon means baths for puppies
9. Hot, Hot, and more Hot. Ready for Fall.
10-11. Waiting for dinner on Friday. This is what we see now. Faces in screens.
12-14. Lunch on the Lawn after church on Sunday

That’s it for this week!

Project Life Tuesday ~ 16 August

Happy Tuesday, everyone!

Just a few shots today from our weekend adventures as I’ve already shared the back-to-school shots on the blog last week.

We took the girls to the science museum on Saturday.  Had a great time exploring all of the exhibits together.PL Template 8-13 2PL Template 8-13

That’s it for this week!

Project Life Tuesday ~ 9 August

No work lately on my Project Life album, but I’m not too concerned. I’m planning a weekend getaway with some girlfriends soon and I know I will have plenty of time that weekend to get the album caught up. Right now, I’m just trying to keep up with picture taking.  I didn’t take many the beginning of the week, and was a little worried about it until we had a little adventure on Friday which resulted in a ton of pictures. So, it all worked out in the end.

This week school starts, so we’ll have tons of pictures I am sure.

Without further ado – I give you the PL photos for the week:

Ice cream after our tour.

Then we headed out for a little antiquing:IMG_0256 IMG_0255Like their “car phones?”

Then a picnic along the river –

IMG_0688This was our view: IMG_0257 IMG_0670 IMG_0673 IMG_0675And we dipped our toes in the water – it was 95 degrees in the shade! The water was freezing but it felt really good. My feet were numb quickly, but it was actually very refreshing. We wished we had brought swimsuits. IMG_0678 IMG_0680Look at that handsome man! IMG_0684

I've got to remember not to keep my sunglasses on top of my head. I look like I have Mickey ears!IMG_0686And then it was home for the weekend full of fun with friends.

Project Life Tuesday ~ 26 July

Moving in slow motion today… I was up most of the night last night, in spite of taking Benadryl for allergies, because of a nasty stomach bug that decided to attack. I think there can’t be much worse than being so groggy from Benadryl and yet so sick that you can’t possibly sleep. I tried the sofa upstairs, the sofa downstairs, the bed (but was afraid to wake SuperMan with my tossing & turning) and finally ended up in my rocking chair/recliner with a heating pad on my tummy until SuperMan got up for work.  I didn’t really fall asleep until around 4:30 this morning.

So, out the window goes the plans for most of my productivity today. I’m keeping expectations low and plans simple.  Put dinner in the crock pot – a comforting beef vegetable soup – and have stuck to simple foods and protein shakes for my meals so far today. Let’s let sleeping dogs lie, you know what I mean?

I decided to make a digital scrapbook page with my Project Life pictures this week. I’m determined to finally learn Photoshop and I know I won't do that until I actually use it. It is hard, because I am so proficient in the Creative Memories software and my inclination is to just open that and go when I feel like scrapbooking. But I want to learn and utilize the power of Photoshop, so I know I have to be patient with my slowness at first or else I will never become proficient.

Here’s my page today:

July17-23

The journaling reads:

1. Pinky Cat hanging out on the sidewalk at Mom’s house.
2. Brunswick stew at my favorite local Savannah restaurant – Carey Hilliards. We make a “pilgrimage” every time we go to Savannah to get our fix for fried shrimp and bbq.
3. Sweet Little Bit’s birthday
4. Big Girl “babysitting” the neighbor’s little chunk of love.
5. Playing scrabble & drinking (root) beer
6. More scrabblers
7. Mom’s yummy breakfast – cheese grits, bacon, maple sausage & eggs.
8. Pucker up, baby.
9. A snack on the road home – cheese dip at Taco Mac.
10. Little Bit the scientist with her new microscope.
11. One last birthday celebration at Rice Restaurant on Friday night.
12. Clean puppy after her weekly bath.

Project Life Tuesday (a little late)

I’m a little late with Project Life this week – I’m on vacation and got a little behind in my posting-ahead schedule – that, and I wanted to use Tuesday’s post to pay homage to my little one who celebrated her birthday.

This week’s Project Life photos are all from my cell phone – I’ve been enjoying the portability and the fact that I have it with me everywhere I go.

I’m loving my Instagram app – but I use a bunch of other iPhone photo apps as well. I am having fun experimenting and finding different styles with each one.July11 week
